BlackPink Pink Venom Music Video

Blackpink is a South Korean girl group whose taking the world by storm. The popular girl group consists of four members namely Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa. YG Entertainment created this widely popular girl group. The group has been called the “largest girl group in the world” due to its enormous international success as a Korean girl group.

Many of their songs have been raving the music charts throughout the world. In fact, they were the first female group to ever debut at number one on Billboard’s Artist 100 and the first female group from Korea to ever debut at number one on Billboard’s Emerging Artists chart.

In addition, their music video for Blackpink’s 2018 single “Ddu-Du Ddu-Du” was the first by a Korean group to surpass one billion views. The group is currently the most-viewed by Korean group on YouTube. Blackpink was also the first female Korean act to receive a certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

They have collaborated with many famous Western artists such as Dua Lipa, Selena Gomez, Lady Gaga, and Cardi B. landmarking their position as a worldwide group. After a few years of hiatus, the group came back with an explosive song called Pink Venom. The song featured an upbeat tone and explosives top-of-the-notch music video. In fact, Blackpink’s “Pink Venom” topped the ARIA Singles Chart in 2022, making them the first Korean group to do so.

The No. 1 song on the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. charts this week is BLACKPINK’s “Pink Venom,” which has the second-highest global weekly streaming total since the survey’s inception in September 2020.

The song surpasses “Lovesick Girls,” which peaked at No. 2, to become the South Korean pop superstars’ first No. 1 on the Global 200. It also becomes their second leader on Global Excl. The U.S., following “Lovesick Girls,” debuted at the top of the list in October 2020.

Release of Pink Venom

BLACKPINK becomes the first group to top the Global 200. It has a member who has topped the list along with the success of “Pink Venom.”. The quartet’s Rosé previously ruled in March 2021 with the No. 1 debut of her single “On the Ground.”

The two charts list songs in order of popularity based on Luminate’s compilation of streaming and sales data from more than 200 countries and territories. The Billboard Global 200 includes data from all countries, whereas the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart includes information from nations other than the United States.

Chart rankings are determined by a weighted formula that takes into account official-only streams on both subscription and ad-supported tiers of audio and video music services, as well as download sales, the latter of which reflect purchases from full-service digital music retailers worldwide; direct-to- consumer (D2C) site sales are not included in the calculations for the charts.

Activities leading up to the debut and the process of forming

After the success of its first major girl group, 2NE1, YG Entertainment launched auditions for young women all around the world in an effort to develop Blackpink. Jennie said it was “more rigid than school,” and Rosé likened it to “The X Factor” with dorm quarters when she compared her time as a trainee on the label to her experience in the reality singing competition. It was especially challenging for members to adjust to the fast pace of training and the cultural shock in South Korea.

In 2011, on November 14, YG Entertainment announced that they were forming a new female group that will debut in the first half of 2012 and consist of at least seven members. This began the long process of preparing for Blackpink’s debut. Since then, there has been much speculation about the postponement of the new girl group’s debut, but no confirmed reports. YG Entertainment delayed announcing the girl group’s debut until May 18, 2016, when they said the members had been chosen after years of intense competition. Jang Hanna and Moon Sua, who were initially exposed to the public as potential members of the new girl group, were later verified by the label to not be a part of the official roster.

On June 1, 2016, Jennie became the first member of the group BLACKPINK to

be unveiled.

When she returned to South Korea from New Zealand in 2010, she immediately became a trainee at YG Entertainment.On April 10, 2012, a photo of her with the caption “Who’s that girl?” appeared on the YG Entertainment website, marking her official debut to the public. Jennie was actively promoted as a member of the new girl group through a number of collaborations; she appeared in the music video for G-2012 Dragon’s song “That XX” from his One of a Kind EP. She was featured in his 2013 song “Black” from his album Coup d’etat (2013).

On June 8th, 2016, Lisa was introduced as the second member of BLACKPINK.

She was the only one of over four thousand Thais to make it through the YG Entertainment audition in 2010, becoming her the label’s first international trainee the following year. YG Entertainment debuted her in a video titled “WHO’S THAT GIRL???” on their YouTube channel back in May of 2012. Taeyang’s “Ringa Linga” (2013) included Lisa in the music video. In 2015, she signed on as a face for the streetwear company Nona9on, and in 2016, she became the face of the cosmetics company Moonshot.

On June 15th, 2016, Jisoo joined the rest of the new band as its third member. In July of 2011, she became a trainee with YG Entertainment. In the years leading up to her debut, she participated in a number of commercials and music videos. She also appeared briefly in the 2015 drama The Producers.

On June 22, 2016, Rosé was the last to make her debut. She won the YG Entertainment audition held in Australia in 2012, beating out 700 other hopefuls. Afterward, she got a trainee contract with the label and relocated to Seoul to begin her training. Her first public appearance was on G-2012 Dragon’s song “Without You” from One of a Kind.

BLACKPINK’s first Global 200 No. 1 comes during the biggest week of streaming activity around the world since 2021.

With 212.1 million streams and 36,000 downloads in the Aug. 19-25 tracking week after its Aug. 19 release, BLACKPINK “Pink Venom” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200, making history for the South Korean act.

The group’s debut single ranks second on the Global 200’s June 5, 2021 list. It has already been claimed that the first week of “Pink Venom” was the most streamed ever on both Spotify and YouTube.
